The people that keep The Jet Coaster running, actively improve its features, and reach out to the community at large.
Without this important core, The Jet Coaster wouldn’t exist.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Albo was a JET for 5 years in Gunma prefecture. In his spare time, he enjoys cheating death through activities like jumping off waterfalls, riding with pro drifters, and dining on raw blowfish. An aspiring film-maker, adventure-hunter and self-improvement junkie, he created The Jet Coaster to share the life he loves and inspire others to chase their dreams.
Thomas is an ALT in Kagawa Prefecture with 4.5 years of Japan under his belt. He has visited all 47 prefectures and is on the verge of completing Japan a second time. When not busy neglecting to unpack, he can be found playing celebrity in a sea of elementary school children trying to get his autograph.
Cassie Vander Meer
Since 3 semesters in Tokyo during her undergrad wasn’t sufficient, Cassie has decided once again to leave her home-state known for over-sized potatoes (Idaho) to return to the land of the rising sun. Round 2 Japan will be based in Ishikawa prefecture working as a JET ALT, and Cassie will likely be found with a camera in hand for all the travel and culinary discoveries in store.
Daniel is an Aussie JET enjoying the laid-back life in Gunma and trips around Japan. Before this, he tried playing football in England, studying Law, and running businesses. These days you can find him feasting at your local burger store or cruising Mt Myogi in his green roadster.
Danyo Rin is the product of an overactive imagination and an unending sense of child-like curiosity. In his spare time he likes to stitch up short clips of Japan he shoots to post on YouTube so that his mother is regularly informed that he is in fact still alive.
Gary is a 5th year British ALT based in Takamatsu, Kagawa. He can usually be found with a drawing pen in one hand and a camera in the other, whilst enjoying the beauty and art of Japan. Like most Brits, he regularly enjoys a spot of tea along with a delicious scone.
Ryan is currently living in London, where he works for Fuji TV (kind of). His hobbies include kickboxing, pub quizzes and not playing annoying music from his smartphone on the underground.
