Danie and her husband got married then ran away to Japan, settling in the prefecture where they first met, to start their married lives together as ALTs. Prior to JET, Danie studied politics at a small bay-side school in Maryland and had a brief internship with the U.S. Department of State. That doesn’t mean that she’s a stuffy-politician: Danie loves to get knee deep in a creek. Her hobbies include painting & writing and she is always looking to challenge someone to a good game of chess or Magic: The Gathering.
Her greatest passion, however, is traveling. Along with Japan, Danie hopes to visit many places in her lifetime and meet many people.
