Daniel Bamford Developer & Writer
Gday, my name is Daniel Bamford.
Until my 18th birthday, I had never left my home country Australia. Since then, I’ve lived in or visited over 20 countries. I am now an elementary school ALT, based in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture. It is a small city nestled in Japan’s mountainous countryside, famous for the World Heritage Silk Mill and Mount Myogi. My interests include karaoke, magic/mentalism, cars/driving, and entrepreneurship.
At university I studied Law, before deciding that wasn’t as fun as designing and building websites. My 4-year web career across London culminated in a Project Management role at London College of Fashion. I returned to Australia to found my own creative digital agency. We worked with small businesses and exciting startups like Curicon.
In addition to TJC, I run my own blog danielbamford.com which is mostly about travel, fashion and my experiences in Japan.
